Science Day - May 2025

On Friday 14th March, we had our annual science day. In the morning, KS2 took part in a workshop led by Esmee and Harrison, from Siemens in Lowestoft, about wind turbines – they learnt how wind turbines work, the different jobs available in the wind industry and got to make models of turbines which had lights the children could power by spinning the blades.

The whole school then took part in science investigations for the rest of the morning in their coloured teams with children from reception to year 6 working together. These included investigating the influence of salt in floating, friction in balloon rockets and how sound travels.
